Just another reminder about an event I’ve been talking about in class. If you want to get out there and do more swordy things, then this Open Sparring Day in Mifford is a great chance to do so. Let me sell you on its many virtues! It will be:

• lots of fun sparring
• with a really friendly bunch of people
• at a ridiculously low price (just 20 bucks)
• and very close to New Haven (Milford)

So it really is the perfect setup for many of you!

If you’re not very used to sparring folks outside our club, then all the better – as I said, this is a very friendly local group, so it’s a great way to dip your toe in the water without having to jump right into the deep end.

My personal fantasy is that we end up having a sizeable New Haven contingent there on the day, so we can cheer for each other! To that end, I will keep prodding everyone relentlessly in the hope that y’all might make it…
