We’ve got exciting news! First we’ll be starting a new Friday class from 02/27/2026-04/10/2026:
February 27th begins our 6-class saber study group, lead by Aaron Greenberg. This will be a survey of various saber systems including the British and Italian military manuals of Roworth, Angelo, and Del Frate. We will also be exploring some of the saber traditions of Eastern Europe, most notably the Polish saber system of Starzewski and others. We will round out our study by incorporating a selection of drills and techniques from some of the leading exponents of the saber in modern HEMA.
Now, you may notice that the dates listed are over 6 weeks, and there’s a missing week between Fabris and saber- that brings us to our second announcement:
February 20th 6-7:30PM, will be NHHF’s first friday mini tournament, the NHHF Piercing Party! Bring any one handed thrusting weapon and ANY offhand for a round of pools and a single elim bracket, with open floor afterwards! this will be a relatively small (24 cap) and lowkey event and our first in a bi or trimonthly series of small tournaments, come help us test it out!
